At Doobie Designs our candles are individually created using a technique known as Dip & Carve. The entire process is done by hand and only one artist is involved with the creation of each piece.

We start with a base candle that is dipped into several layers of coloured waxes.

Our candle artist then delicately carves an intricate design into the still warm wax, revealing the many layers of colour used during the dipping process.

If desired the candle may be decorated with figurines to suit any occasion, and flower bases are also available for an extra special touch.

The final product is a wonderful and original artwork, but the true magic will not be revealed until the candle has been lit. Our candles burn down the middle and glow through each of the carefully placed cuts.
